Site rules.
Characters must have flaws- no character is perfect, please show some flaws, stubbornness, boy madness, not good at potions, has a weird collection of dried leaves. I don't care what flaws it is, as long as your character has them.
Make your character believable- this includes houses, if you make your Gryffindor cunning then they obviously don't belong to Gryffindor. We will ask you to change it, or we will ask whether you want the sorting hat to pick for you.
No unreasonable half-breeds etc- this means: yes, there were more half-Veelas and Animagi, Metamorphmagi and Werewolves, but that happened outside Hogwarts (feel free to make adult characters like that!). But, for example, we know Moony was the only werewolf in Hogwarts, and Padfoot Prongs and Wormtail the only Animagi. If you absolutely need to make a student that is half-breed or so, please contact an Admin about it.
Balance is good- If you've made two girls, please make a guy, vice versa.
Manage your characters- We don't have a set character limit, but just make sure you can handle the characters you have. If you want to get rid of one, please ask an Admin.
No god modding- Obvious.
No bullying- Again, obvious
No stealing- I've been on sites where plagiarism has come up, it's not fair on the people who've created that content.
Word count- There isn't a word count. One liners aren't allowed but we're not strict on how much you post. Try for at least two good paragraphs.
Please post regularly- I'm not asking every day, or four times a week or anything, but we don't want to go under and not have posts. The password is Grindylow. It's the reason we're here!
Graphics- No size regulations just don't stretch the board, if we think it's too big we'll tell you.
Age limit- It's against proboards rules to be under 13 on this site. Please take this into account, we don't want to be shut down.
No sexy times- we don't want to be shut down and it's against proboards rules to have anything R rated, so no sex, if you want to do that, find somewhere else to do it. So for the site, usual fade to black rules happen please and thank you <3

Have fun- IC is there for quick simple things. You can have horcrux hunting in the woods, a family Christmas with the Potters, a detention with McGonagall. Basically we want to promote fun here, and yes it does mean you can do past/present/future AU. We encourage IC chat because it's fun and it gets things going a lot quicker, just as long as you don't neglect your posts!

If the character is then taken later, you cannot use them. Don't go crazy with this though. We would like to see your characters in it too.
