The small amount of sun that wasn't hiding behind white clouds trickled gently through the dormitory window and fell across her bed, making the sheets comfortable and warm. Narcissa was laying across her bed on her stomach reading but the words kept dancing off the page and pushing her mind away from it's focus. The day had been a rather lazy one for her and she was becoming a little restless. Four walls couldn't contain her for very long. Cissy rolled over and looked outside. She and her roommates had an amazing view of the sprawling campus. She watched a few other students enjoy the freedom that came along with the weekends. She sighed as she thought about the school year.
Her eyes turned up to the bit of blue sky she could see through the clouds. A small smile grew and her worries about the upcoming year vanished. The sun always made her feel better, even if it was behind clouds. If only there was a big beach, then her world would be complete. Cissy decided instead of wasting the day in her dorm, which she could do when the weather turned cold and nasty, she would take a much needed walk through the grounds. She jumped up off her bed and slipped into her heels. Cissy grabbed the book she had been reading and made for the door. Before she disappeared through it though she turned for one last look into the mirror. Satisfied with her appearance, Narcissa grabbed her wand, grinned and left the dorm.
The grounds at Hogwarts were quite beauiful, nothing like the grounds of her family's manor but beautiful nontheless. The lawns were a shade of dark green and stretched right up into the forbidden forest. There were plenty of spots for students to relax underneath the shade of tall, leafy trees. Narcissa's favorite part was the Lake, which she was standing on the banks of now. There was just something so soothing about it. The calm waters looked like a sheet of dark glass. There weren't any ripples, no signs of life underneath but she knew looks were decieving. She walked around the bank for a moment before coming to a halt near a log. She took a seat on it and leaned back, making herself nice and comfortable. From here, she could see the castle in all it's glory. The view, in her opinion, was wonderful.
