Alice’s magical ability came early, a surprise in their family as her uncle was a squib, like her little sister. The Hogwarts letter was a bittersweet day as she realised she would be heading off to a wonderful school, but she would be leaving her little sister behind.

Alice hates confrontation, it makes her nauseous and she will often do anything she can to avoid a confrontation – this however, does not mean she’s a people pleaser, and she will stand behind her convictions. Alice believes greatly in equality throughout the wizarding realm and knows that she will do something great in her life.
She is, however, just a teenage girl and certainly enjoys the company of the opposite sex. She favours herself a bad boy, someone that her parent’s perhaps wouldn’t approve of, even if she knows that she’ll never make a life with someone like that.

eyes; bright, bright blue, with short but thick lashes, and thin brows.
face; Alice has a heart shaped face, with defined cheekbones. She looks young for her age. Her lips are pink and rather thin, her nose is petite.
body; Alice is of average height, with pear shaped curves – wide hips, smallish breasts. She’s adorable.
distinguishing features; Alice has a single scar, which encircles her forearm when she attempted to save her sister.
personal style; Alice wears bright colours, she rarely wears black. Red however, is not her favourite colour, green is. She rarely wears green though, simply because her other Gryffindor classmates dislike the connotation with Slytherin house.

family history; The Radfords have magical blood going back centuries, and have married into some of the most influential wizarding families – including the Malfoy’s, Blacks and Weasleys. However, in the past century most Radford men and women have married muggles or muggleborns, mostly because they themselves have been born squibs. No one knows why their magical talent was never guaranteed, though old family legends said that one of the early Radford’s angered an old crone who cursed them. Not many actually believed that however.
personal history; Alice’s life was never difficult. She was raised in a beautiful area of Somerset by her parents and she had everything she could have ever wanted in life, though she never took anything for granted.
She has always loved the outdoors, and foraging for food in the great outdoors. As soon as she was able she was baking pies and stews, jams and chutneys. Alice and her sister, Arabella, were inseparable from a very early age, though when Alice eventually went to Hogwarts the two did lose touch somewhat.
Her little sister, Arabella, died during Alice’s second year at Hogwarts. When she was home for Christmas her sister grew impatient with Alice’s dismissal of her, and so headed down to the frozen pond alone. She fell through the ice and drowned before Alice could reach her, though she tried, almost killing herself in the process. She’s still haunted by night terrors of her sister’s lifeless form beneath the surface of the pond.
Alice has never been the same since that day, and is often closed off and somewhat vacant where she was once the life and soul of any party. Though she keeps up a happy, content façade anyone who truly knows her understands that there is a deep seated pain within her, which may never go away fully.
